Sorry to hear little Rambo is suffering again. This young family has been through so much. I’m going to pray when I finish typing. I don’t know what RSV is but Jesus does.

Comment from Amanda Taylor:

Home. Home. Home. Home. Home. Home. Home. Home. Home. Just don’t whisper it in Rambo’s direction.

The plan is for us to go home tomorrow (Thursday) if he behaves himself tonight. :)

Thanks for the prayers!

KEEP PRAYING!

From Adams Caring Bridge:

A rough night with pressures from time to time

Last night/this morning, Adam had moments where his pressures would spike again and it took a lot of work on the nurses part to fix that.  So, some of his meds have been changed to keep him calmer when that happens so they are able to move him around better.  With his latest CT scan the doctors have noticed a spot they want further examined by a MRI with contrast so they can see all the veins in Adam’s brain, but because Adam’s pressures are not stable, this isn’t possible.  Adam has to be flat for two hours for this procedure, so his MRI will have to wait a few days.  Part of the preparation for his MRI will be to remove that initial pressure probe that was placed in Adam’s skull as well as giving Adam more plasma.   Adam is also running a temp, so they are taking  messures to bring this down through a cooling blanket as well as tylenol.  I am looking at Adam while I am typing: he is under his cooling blanket and his pressure numbers are looking good for now=)  Still has the temp.  Keep him in your prayers everyone, thank you all.

Sent via email from the Batterman’s

We are so grateful for your prayers for Tiara. . .her last vomiting episode was at 10 pm last night, and after that we all were able to sleep through the night, with just a couple times up to check and treat her fever.  The Lord also used the intensity of her sickness yesterday to show us that there was more going on than just the virus that so many have had, and we have been able to start her on treatment for strep throat.

During the day today Tiara  has been drinking well and eating a little, which of course is a great relief.  God, thank you for the faithfulness of your people in prayer, and for your gracious answer!

Note from Milly

I am writing this note for everyone (even if you are not tagged)  because I couldn’t tag all 500+ of you or write to each one individually.

In case you didn’t already  know,  I am a 10-year breast cancer survivor. Almost exactly 10 years ago – Nov 2000 – I was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer (both breasts). One of the breasts could be saved, so I had a mastectomy with reconstruction in one and a lumpectomy to remove a tumor on the other. I received 6 rounds of chemotherapy/3 months of radiation and 5 years later was declared to be in remission.

This last holiday season I noticed something odd in the natural breast I still have and made an appointment for a diagnostic exam and mammogram. An area of interest was detected and a biopsy was scheduled for last Tuesday, Jan 18th.  The results of the biopsy were positive; I have breast cancer again.

I will have a second mastectomy in the next month or so, and I am pretty sure that I will receive chemotherapy and radiation again. TO ALL MY FEMALE FRIENDS: please be proactive and get yourself checked. I am proof that early detection makes a difference. IF YOU ARE A MALE, encourage your wives, girlfriends, partners, friends, sisters, mothers, aunts, daughters and cousins to be checked.

This is certainly not what I was hoping for, but being the second time around it is easier to navigate the process.

Like the first time, I will face this head on and with the certainty that nothing that happens is out of God’s control. He sustained me before and He will sustain me again.

Your prayers are certainly coveted and appreciated, I am blessed to have you in my life.

My beautiful niece Veronica (thanks Vero I love you) posted this on my wall and I want to pass it on to you:

‎“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

1-Oasis Covenant Fellowship

Our vision at Oasis Covenant Fellowship is to build a missional community of gospel-centered people.

Our church exists to proclaim the mercy and grace found in the good news of Jesus Christ’s death on the cross for our sins. We seek to carry out this vision in two ways:

• by actively pursuing the ongoing transformation of our own lives by the grace of God found in the gospel, and • by actively proclaiming the gospel in our community to those who do not believe.
